Amherst Christian Academy Day Care leads a well-ordered learning center of children ranging from 18 months to three years of age keeping in line with the Office of Children and Family Services staff to child ratio at all times. The day care program also accompanies the Montessori method of teaching. This includes the use of manipulatives to build coordination and strengthen motor skills, songs that assimilate large muscle activity, interactive stories to encourage children’s creative thinking, as well as opportunities to go outside on the playground. Each day follows a set schedule that includes breakfast, rest time, lunch, as well as morning and afternoon snacks.
